My business started out as "Out Of My Mind Designs" 12 years ago when my husband joined the military and was sent to Korea. My beading was a way of staying sane! I would bead in the evening to relax. My jewelry was a big hit with my friends and soon I found I needed to sell my jewelry to keep up with the beading supplies.
Since those humble days beading on my livingroom floor in North Dakota, my business has expanded a great deal. My jewelry making area has moved from the floor of my livingroom to the corner of my bedroom, to the corner of my dinningroom to an awesome studio. I am happy to say my work adorns more and more sassy, beautiful women every day.

You might ask where I came up with the name "Stalwart Designs". My sister bought me a book about leaves and the trees they come from. The oak tree is said to be stalwart, strong and sturdy. I thought that a name like stalwart would describe my quality of my jewelry.
